Book Club
The Book Club is offered in partnership with the James Island Branch Library. The club is reading and discussing Angels and Demons by Dan Brown on Tuesday, November 11, 2 p.m. and The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Neffenegger on Tuesday, December 9, 2 p.m. Books are on reserve at the James Island Branch Library.
Great Decisions
Great Decisions is a foreign policy discussion group. Please review the reading packet prior to the meeting date (available at the front desk.) Free for members and $5 for nonmembers. Wednesday, November 19, 3-4:30 p.m. and Wednesday, December 17, 3-4:30 p.m. Topics are to be announced. Free for members and $5 for nonmembers.
Wine Club
Join the wine club for a relaxed, social evening. November features Australian wines and December’s topic is sparkling wines. Thursdays, September 25 and October 30, 5:30-7 p.m. No charge for members or nonmembers, however participants voluntarily take turns purchasing the wines to be tasted each month.
Lowcountry Investment Club
The Investment Club studies and invests $30 per month in the stocks that are voted on by the club. Non-club members may attend the meetings as observers. Wednesdays, November 19 and December 17, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Free for senior center members and $2 for nonmembers.
“Parlez-vous Francais?”
Join us for conversation in French on Mondays, November 24 and December 15, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Try out your French or simply enjoy discussing a topic in a foreign language. This session is hosted by Lyn Breck who lived, worked, and studied in a French speaking country for twelve years.
Cerebral Calisthenics
Learn brain fitness at this exciting class called Cerebral Calisthenics. Tuesday, November 18 and Thursday, December 11, 10-11 a.m. Free for members and $2 for nonmembers.

This club features local speakers on current events and breakfast. Free for members and $7 for nonmembers. Join this fun class that’s all about finding the humor in life. Led by center member James Hollingsworth. Thursdays, November 20 and December 18, 10-11 a.m. Free for members and $2 for nonmembers.
How to Raise a Money-Smart Child
A piggy bank is just the first step. Join us for a workshop on how to raise a Money-Smart Grandchild. Giving your grandchildren a primer on money management skills can have a positive effect on their lives. During this workshop, you will learn how to start teaching your child or grandchild about financial goal setting, self-discipline and the basic of making wise money choices. Monday, November 17, 10-11:30 a.m. Free for members and $5 for nonmembers.
