Singles Night

The singles group is a great opportunity to socialize with new people. This group meets offsite in November and December.

In November they will meet at Nectar located on Folly Road Thursday, November 20, 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, December 18, 5:30 p.m. at California Dreaming on James Island. Call the center if you plan to attend so we can reserve the appropriate seating. Participants provide their own transportation and pay for their own dinner.

Ballroom Dancing

Learn the great ballroom dances! Partners are not required. Your instructor is David Roland.  Wednesdays, November 5-5-December 17, 5:45-6:45 p.m. $43 for members and $47 for nonmembers. No class November 26.

Wine Club

Join the wine club for a relaxed, social evening. November features Australian wines and December’s topic is sparkling wines. Thursdays, November 13 and December 18, 5:30-7 p.m. No charge for members or nonmembers, however participants voluntarily take turns purchasing the wines to be tasted each month.

Gentle Yoga

Ease your body, mind, and spirit with gentle yoga. Please bring your own mat. Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. $20 for members and $25  for nonmembers per month.

Line Dancing

Join the fun on Tuesday nights learning line dancing with your instructor Jackie Hughes. Learn the electric slide, boot scoot and boogie, and various others. Tuesdays, October 28-December 9, 5:45-6:45 p.m. $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. No class December 2.

Lowcountry Investment Club

The Investment Club studies and invests $30 per month in the stocks that are voted on by the club. Non-club members may attend the meetings as observers. Wednesdays, November 19 and December 17, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Free for senior center members and $2 for nonmembers.

Shag

Learn this east coast favored dance from your instructor David Roland. Partners are not required. Thursdays, November 6-December 18, 5:45-6:45 p.m. $43 for members and $47 for nonmembers.

Wine & Cheese Reception

Enjoy an evening concert of the center's own recorder group, The Olde Pipes Consort followed by a wine and cheese reception. Tuesday, December 2, 6 p.m. Free for members and nonmembers.

Festival Finale

The Festival of Wreaths ends with a fantastic party with music, hor d'oeuvres, and dancing. Do not miss out on your last opportunity to bid on your favorite wreath and take it home that night! Wine and beer cash bar. Friday, December 5, 6 p.m. $10 per person.
