CEO Message: Roper St. Francis Foundation -- Making a Real Difference Thanks to YOU

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we approach the holiday season, I’d like to take this time to thank you for your generous support throughout the year.

The Roper St. Francis Foundation, the fundraising arm of Roper St. Francis Healthcare, enjoyed tremendous success in 2005.  More than $3.5 million was raised through major gifts, grants and memberships in The Roper Xavier Society.  For our healthcare system to generate this amount of money, it would have to provide $70 million in clinical services. 

As you can see, philanthropic support makes a real difference, helping us raise the bar in healthcare and provide the very best care for our patients.

Now in its second year, The Rx Society was established as an annual giving society and a way to honor individuals who share our commitment to enriching patient care.  We have experienced great success, and I’m pleased to tell you that our membership in 2006 is 294 strong and counting!

To continue this success, I would like to personally invite you to join the 2006 Rx Society.  With a minimum gift of $1,000 made by December 31, 2006, you and guest will receive an invitation to attend our annual Donor Appreciation Gala to be held January 5, 2007 at Charleston Place Hotel.  This world-class affair, exclusively for 2006 Society members, will feature nationally recognized speaker, General Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.).  

I am delighted that so many of you are leading the way to support the continued growth of our healthcare system.  Your membership contributions have funded, and will continue to fund, enhancements to the Roper St. Francis Heart & Vascular Tower, the Julian T. Buxton Jr., MD Surgical Pavilion and Roper St. Francis Cancer Center along with the construction of a Meditation Garden at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. 

It is important to note that 100% of funds raised by the Foundation directly benefit RSFH and do not support Foundation expenses.
