Kudos to Roper As we go though life, we come in contact with people who not only impact our lives but who breathe hope back into us when we need help the most. About a year and a half ago, my father was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). My family and I were not too surprised because he had smoked for 52 years. When we found out an operation, which included six bypasses, was the only way to prolong his life, the family and I were all for it. Kudos to everyone on the seventh floor at Roper Hospital during those countless hours. The many doctors and nurses, who cared and put up with our father, treated our family like he was the commander in chief. The questions we asked were always answered in detail. During those weeks, a bond was formed. This group of doctors, nurses and technicians went above and beyond the call of duty. It's the modem technology at Roper Hospital that has given us new life. We appreciate everything. JAMES E. POPE, JR. Copyright © 1997 - 2007 the Evening Post Publishing Co. |
