FAQ's

What is Advantage?
Roper St. Francis Advantage is the Lowcountry's largest, most exciting membership program for South Carolina resident 55 and over. Advantage offers you a way to stay connected with the community, savings on the things you use most like prescriptions, amazing trips and specially designed wellness and educational programs.

What are the levels of membership?
Advantage Gold is designed for those who love activity, adventure and savings!
Advantage Silver is for members who have a minimum amount of time for involvement, yet want to stay involved with the program.

What is the difference between Advantage Gold and Advantage Silver?
Advantage Silver members receive the basic membership benefits such as the prescription discount card, the Advantage newsletter, and may participate in Mallwalkers. Advantage Gold members receive the basic Silver level benefits, plus additional benefits and services at reduced rates.

Who is eligible to join?
Any South Carolina resident age 55 and older may join.

How can I join?
Simply complete the application, choose your level of membership and return your application to the Advantage office. You must reenroll each year.

What is the cost?
Advantage Silver is free for everyone.
Advantage Gold is $15 a year per person. All members are required to reenroll each year.

Why do I have to re-enroll each year?
In order for us to better serve our members, you need to reenroll each year. This will help ensure your information is accurate, plus it will give you the opportunity to tell us what types of programs and services you would like for Advantage to include.

What happens after I join?
Within two weeks of submitting your application, you will receive in the mail your new Advantage card and a detailed listing of the membership benefits and an upcoming schedule of events.
You may also join other new Advantage members for a Member Orientation to learn more about programs and services.

What is my Advantage card good for?
You will receive your new Advantage card within two weeks of submitting your application. Your Advantage membership card will have printed on it your membership level along with your name and the date through which your membership is valid.
To enjoy our rich benefits and services you will need to present your membership card. For example, to save in the hospital cafeteria or attend the exercise classes you will need to show your valid card. So remember to keep it handy.
