Roper St. Francis Launches New Speakers Bureau
Healthcare Professionals Now Available to Speak to Groups
Roper St. Francis Healthcare (RSFH) is formally launching a Speakers Bureau service, offering physicians and professional medical staff available to speak on their areas of medical or health related expertise. The service is free to the tri-county community.
"The Speakers Bureau is another way Roper St. Francis is reaching out into the community with valuable health education and wellness information. As a community healthcare system, giving back is an important part of our mission," said David L. Dunlap, Roper St. Francis President and CEO.
Nearly 90 experts comprise the Speakers Bureau candidate bank. They are available to speak to business, civic, church or other community groups with a minimum of 10 people. Topics range from heart and vascular, women's services and cancer, to the latest in cosmetic surgery and dermatology, including laser treatments and Botox.
Interested groups can call the RSFH Healthline at 402-CARE (2273) to inquire about topics, speaker availability and to make a reservation. Speaker presentations will last up to one hour. Four weeks notice is requested to reserve a speaker.
"This is a great way to share health information, focusing on prevention and treatment as well as new medical techniques from the people who know the information best, the doctors and other healthcare experts," said Mark Dickson, Director of Mission for RSFH.
