Imaging Services, also known as radiology, uses a variety of imaging tools in diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases. The Roper St. Francis Healthcare imaging team includes board certified radiologists and highly skilled, registered and licensed technologists who provide excellent care during imaging procedures. Our imaging facilities are fully accredited by the Joint Commission.
In addition, Roper St. Francis' fixed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sites – Roper Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, St. Francis Hospital MRI Medical Plaza and Roper Hospital Diagnostics – Farmfield – have been awarded accreditation in MRI for brain, spine, magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), body and musculoskeletal imaging as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
This three-year term accreditation was awarded for the achievement of high practice standards after an evaluation by board certified doctors and medical physicists who are experts in the field.
